Robert Culp dead at 79
Damn…I remember him from the original Columbo series. He was the best villain among a host of really good actors.
Culp was a member of an exclusive club of 5 actors:
those who had been sent to prison by Columbo multiple times.
William Shatner, Patrick McGoohan, George Hamilton, and Jack Cassidy were the others.
The murderers he portrayed on the show were the most arrogant
and least like-able of all the Columbo suspects.
Ever since I heard the news, I can’t get the theme from Greatest American Hero out of my head.
I Spy was one of my favorite shows. Robert Culp was my favorite character, and that show was a landmark show because of the casting of Bill Cosby as the costar. RIP Mr. Culp.

He was in the landmark tho dated Bob Carol Ted and Alice and the wonderful I Spy with a young Bill Cosby. I will remember him for Big Bad Momma 2, Hickey & Boggs, his copious tv work (including I Spy reunion movie and the greatest american hero) and the charm he brought to each and every job. He will be missed
