That’s awesome news, Peter. I think Anthology will be playing Satantango this summer in NYC too.
Definately my favorite theater. Used to love Vic’s introductions to each movie (RIP).
I don’t usually like seeing “old” movies in theaters though so I won’t be attending.
Ah, the seeminly 50 year old, hard as rock chairs of Anthology— my ass is going to hate me but you know i’ll be there.
Someone convince them to pass the print off to Houston after they are done with it….Seriously, so jealous….
Yeah, came here to post about the Anthology screening too. Their seats aren’t that bad, Peter! Any seat would feel bad for the length of that film though.
Although I remember in the program guide saying that there would be two intermissions.
Yep, screening tomorrow (May 28) at 3:00 at Anthology, double intermission.

Here’s the info http://cinemaartscentre.org/011/011Mayo/SATANTANGO.html#SATANTANGO. I would totally take the train from NYC to see this masterpiece again on the big screen if I didn’t have to work! (I am so pissed!!) I implore everyone to EXPERIENCE this film in a theater!!! It is so rarely screened. Take this opportunity!
