TRON (one of my own nicknames, as a matter of fact), can’t help you on the script, but have you read the Murch’s annecdote about how Hackman’s character developed in the script? A typist mistakenly spelled the character’s last name “Caul” during pre-production, and the literal meaning of the word stoked Coppola’s imagination throughout the rest of the screenplay revising process, costume design, physcialization, etc. all down the line to the finished product. An amazing testament to the power of chance in the creative process.
Also, fans of “surveillance cinema”, have any of you seen Charlie Ahearn’s DOIN’ TIME IN TIMES SQUARE?

this is a film famously shaped and plotted in the editing room, so i doubt there’s anything out there unless someone just made a shot for shot transcript

Does anyone know where I can find a copy of the script for The Conversation? It’s a fav of mine and I’d love to read it as a I write my own character driven script. But, I can’t seem to find it anywhere on the web or in book form.
