Sex? In a Christopher Nolan film? Not bloody likely.
Thanks for getting my hopes up for nothing, jerk! :P
I think “sensuality” just means kissing… or maybe holding hands.
Sensuality doesn’t have to mean sex. It could just mean Catwoman’s clothes get torn off and she runs around kicking ass while half naked. Or maybe someone gets murdered in their underwear. I doubt there will be any sex scenes, sorry to disappoint.
Maybe they’re bringing the Bat-Nipples back.
The only thing less likely than sexuality in a Nolan film is humor.
LOL@Brad
Yes please!
Trust me, movies with that “sensuality” description tend to have a sexual act. Mission Impossible II and Maverick to name a few.
@DFFOO: Now now, it was up to you to define sex either literally or something else. Hell, if I started a forum that said “Sex in The Little Mermaid”, would you immediately assume that the mermaid and that guy she falls in love with are gonna have some Last Tango-style lovin’ in the movie?
@brad s.: that made my day.

Is that a joke, because that is the very first thing I would think of!
A few minutes later I would remember the discreet boner in the wedding scene.
EDIT: And a couple minutes after that I would remember boner #2 on the VHS cover.
@Roscoe – there’s plenty of humor in Nolan’s movies. He’s just not always good with it – it’s especially bad in Batman Begins.
Love Nolan, though.
But yeah, like others have mentioned – sensuality =/= sex.
^yeah, that “love story” between Cotillard and Leo in Inception – I couldn’t stop laughing! hehe
Inception’s humor was mainly banter between JGL’s and Tom Hardy’s characters. Jeez, Santino.
Yeah, the whole League of Shadows thing was pretty hilarious, I mean really. Ninja Batman? And they said Adam West was campy.
I’m sure it was improvised.
Do I have to list movies where the term “sensuality” is applied and show you the specific scenes? Gawd, I’m telling y’all that there’s gonna be some PG-13 sex in there. Trust me!
I can’t wait to pull this thread up in a couple months, dude!
Go ahead and list away, Dude! I’m not saying definitively that there won’t be a “sex scene” (though I think if there is one in this film, I’m sure it will be implied rather than shown) – but I find it unlikely for this specific film. I think a “wait and see” policy would be best here. But since this thread was created for the purpose of speculation, I’m just throwing my opinion out there – I don’t think there will be a full on sex scene.
@DFFOO: Yeah, me either. Clock’s ticking away now…I’ll race you to it.
@takaawesome: As much as I want to, I think the people who is monitoring what I browse on the Internet will get suspicious…
‘Sensuality’:

Anyway, my honest answer is that Anne Hathaway is hot, the Catwoman character tends to be fetishized, and thus the movie probably shows her slinking around acting all seductive like.
My snark answer is much like the picture above: one of the reasons I like Batman is the series’ sort of technoporn appeal. Hathaway straddling a gothic industrial bike is more fun than a sex scene anyway.

Nolan’s Batman doesn’t have time for sex or fun… hell neither does his Bruce Wayne. So I’m gonna go with a safe theory that Batman and Catwoman will eventually have a fight that turns into foreplay and perhaps end with some licking and a slam on the ass. That is about how hot in got in Batman Returns and for a Batman film… thats really as far as it should go.
I’m pretty sure this movie is gonna be straight-up porn.
And who’s monitoring your internet, Dude?
I haven’t seen any new trailer for it since the football field exploding and Catwoman being very OWS one. By Memorial Day they’ll probably shift into hype overdrive and give us some more teasers.
Maybe Catwoman seduces other people?
@DFFOO: The government…
Catwoman and Batman’s history is definitely a tale of seduction but don’t count out Marion Cotillard’s character. We fans of the comics have been theorizing since she got cast that her character, given the name Miranda Tate who is not attached to any Batman canon at all, is not who she seems. And if she is the character that many of us think she really is, her with Bruce Wayne makes perfect sense.
I think Catwoman/Batman, Selina Kyle/Bruce Wayne will just be sexual tension and enemies turned helpers. How Nolan does with the tension is another thing entirely since I don’t think sexpot with Hathaway and don’t think flirt with Bale even if he puts on a playboy front as Bruce Wayne that is never natural.
Good point on Juno Temple playing Holly from Batman: Year One. That said, many characters from the canon and from the Nolan films, especially the female ones, have taken a back seat and are just there but really not really featured beyond being a plot device. But at least he seems to realize this and give two major actresses major parts in the film.
I heard Julie Newmar makes a cameo in a teddy.
Julie Newmar. Respect for the Godess.
Just because.
CGI Baby
The Dark Knight Rises is being reported to be PG-13 “for intense sequences of violence and action, some sensuality and language.” Now the “sensuality” part is the catch here. What do you think? Bale and Hathaway sex scene? The lesbian angle in Batman: Year One copied in Selina Kyle’s character?
