Headhunters is based on Jo Nesbø’s book. His books are perfect material for Hollywood films, but should keep the Nordic setting, as Fincher did with Larsson’s TGWTDT.
^Cool, I’m looking forward to see it.
Correction, show time is 9:45 pm.
I don’t want to waste one extra ticket so hit me up before 6:00, whoever is interested.
Going once…
I’m looking forward to Headhunters. Opens this weekend – looks awesome (plus great reviews!).
PS – I’d totally be there if I was up there.
^^Right on, that’s encouraging!
Yeah, a friend attended a recent Action Film Fest(!) in Texas and he said Headhunters was one of the headliners, subtitles and all, along with Let The Bullets Fly (w/ Chow Yun Fat) and Dragon Eyes (w/ JCVan Damme). I just saw Wu Xia (w/ Donnie Yen) at the festival last Friday and was quite impressed with the approach.
I guess the action genre is alive and well like it’s always been. There’s definitely more variety beyond the likes of Die Hard and Terminator.
Headhunters is flawed but fun …enjoy!
Let the Bullets Fly is AWESOME mayhem

April 23 Monday-
I have ONE extra ticket for tonight’s showing of HEADHUNTERS, a Norweigian film I heard a lot of good things about. (I haven’t seen any trailers, but I read Hollywood is already making a U.S. version, while some called it a Noir-caper-Thriller of some sorts. We’ll see.
PM me if you’re interested, not later than 6:00 pm. Showtime is 9:20pm at the Kabuki Theatre in SF Japan Town. We can meet outside ’round 9:00.
