Mann only directed about 10 minutes of the film, but they’re the best 10 minutes of the film.
George Cukor directed the best 10 minutes of Gone With the Wind. He also directed the best acting in it on the sly.
It would at least help clear Kubrick’s name a bit.
I think it is just about the best epic of its kind. I think Kubrick probably gave it most of it’s edge and immediacy. And the performers are on top of their game. I have seen other epics directed by Mann and they are not as witty.

I feel that they should really list this film as Stanely Kubrick and Anthony Mann’s Spartacus.
