Our Little star Rainer after molting.
This was the first time I’ve seen him molt, I found it quite fascinating!
Shot five more scenes for Spidarlings at a new location, it was a difficult day due to the very tiny space (not to mention that Rahel had to sit two hours in a cold bathtub) but we got some wonderful footage!
As always here are some behind the scenes pictures! (more later)

Updates for the project have have been few in the past 3 weeks this was partially due to the Olympics slowing down shooting as well as unforeseen problems with certain crew members.
There is always a black sheep in every family, yet I would have never expected that people I once considered to be friends would turn against us and purposefully try to sabotage the film without any real reason.
A now former makeup artist of the film was evicted by her landlord (kind of ironic considering that the premise of Spidarlings revolves around the protagonists being evicted by their landlord); we invited her and her fiancé to live with us until they would be able to get back on their feet. Eventually they extended their stay to 4 months (!!) and became for some reason very hostile as time went by (though we never had any arguments or problems either off or on set during this period). When we asked what their future plans are (after all they slept on a set we needed to continue shooting) they left in a sudden hurry (while I was sleeping and without even saying goodbye) Still I thought that everything was ok between us and that work would continue as planned.
It was only later that we realized that their way of saying “thanks” and “bye” was to mutilate a 50 year old doll (something they later claimed their pet did, even though it looks like someone cut of the nose and fingers with a scissor) and to take with them several props, costumes and make up that belonged to the company as well as some personal books. She went on to brag to common friends and crew members about how she ruined the continuity of our film by taking the clothes (some of which belong to designers who still contact us understandably worried about the whereabouts and wellbeing of their designs) Most of our emails to her were unanswered (or just bitchy remarks) and she has still never given us a reason as to why she would act like this.
I seriously don’t understand people. It just saddens me.
Despite all this shooting will continue on the 26th of August and production will wrap at the end of October.
