I’m more of a Charlie Kaufman fan, that is in awe over Spike Jonze’s ability to make “Adaptation”.
The dude is good
I’m a fan of pretty much all of his work, from music videos to feature films. Being John Malkovich remains my favorite of the latter.
Fan here. Can’t wait to see Where the wild things are.
I’ve heard he’s had alot of trouble with it intially, but hey director’s are always looking for challenges so it’ll only make him better! He’s great filmmaker and i love his style can’t wait for him to make a film in a 2:35.1 aspect ratio to see how he uses widescreen.
He and Kaufman are magic together and I love every single one of his music videos. I will continue to expect good stuff.
I’m really hoping WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE is as pure and beautiful as it can be.
Did anyone else see that early clip that leaked breifly, several monthes ago, before it was pulled? It looked amazing, and had this melancholy reality to it that has been missing from children’s stories for years.
There was also a good interview with Spike posted recently on Ain’t It Cool.
Trailer for WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE (sorry for where it’s premiering, nothing I could do): http://tinyurl.com/dn2eyy
Corrected, better quality trailer: here
Yes! It’s about time for another Spike Jonez movie. Am I the only one who wishes he would take more acting roles? He was my favorite character/actor from “The Three Kings”, I absolutely loved him in that.
I’m a Spike Jonze fan but I tend to really love the films he’s done with Charlie Kaufman. Spike is good on his own but when they both work together something magical happens. I think maybe they both bring out the best in one another.
Awwww, Where the Wild Things Are looks good!
2009, I guess, is going to be a great year for children’s films. Where the Wild Things Are, The Fantastic Mr. Fox, and Up… I can’t wait!

It’s like A HARD DAY’S NIGHT with a child and people dressed up as monsters! Looks amazing.
I enjoy spike jonze, but I still think he was the perfect choice for “Where the Wild Things Are” even though I am not a huge fan.
There are few movies I’ve been anticipating more than this.
From being a four year old who carried Sendak’s book around like a Bible, to Spike Jonze and David Eggers joining forces to finally bring the film to life, to WB being displeased with the work because it was too good and not easily accessible for children (so they though), to finally seeing the official trailer.
A long journey will be ending in theaters this fall, and I can’t wait.
Where the Wild Things Are trailer came out today. Yep, he’s pretty flippin’ sweet.
He is certainly the next best thing.
Although he’s not the new, young thing anymore — it’s been ten years already since Being John Malkovitch!
That almost doesn’t seem possible!

Any Spike Jonze fans out there?
