as far as the ‘fan’ thing goes, i say ‘why not?’ people like certain actors. now if they start having a ‘become a fan’ button for David O. Selznick, thats going a little too far.
Ultra, I guess my only question is, since it doesn’t show up on our profile, what does it do? To me, that doesn’t make a lot of sense.
Savvy
Zachary: Yeah, but who doesn’t? ;)
Sam, who’s NOT a fan of Leaud? And anyone who says “I’m not!” ought to be taken out to the back-alley and…be punched out, I guess.
Savvy
- Never you mind -
S., ah, well, you’re right about that; I mean, I’d heard that he has a rather massive ego on him…
Not always fun to deal with. haha.
Savvy
Im not! [i think his face is disproportionate :\]
im a fan of Hitchock <3
Everyone on StL! who is following me, just curious, have the people who I’ve become a fan of shown up on your newsfeed? And if so, does a list of their films follow?
Zachary: The one thing I’m really hoping is that he’s still kept busy after all these years.
BTW, have you read anything by him?
Puff….hmmmmmm….
Ultra, yeah, that appears to be what’s happening, unless someone becomes a fan of more than one person.
S., actually, I haven’t read a damn thing by the man, sadly, although my friend is going to lend me The Catcher in the Rye so I can read it some time.
Savvy
mmm, I’ve got that MGMT song in my head. Nice.
Bondage pants?
Zachary: I actually haven’t read Catcher either, though I read two of his other books.
Rossoneri: Hmm, that wouldn’t be a new listing would it? ;)
There. I’m the first fan of Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Tsai Ming-liang, Shirin Neshat, Maya Deren, Michael Haneke, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Claire Denis, Chantal Akerman, Stan Brakhage and Yasujiro Ozu.
And I’m done for the night.
S., to tell you the truth, other than what I’ve heard, I know every little about the man and his work. In fact, I couldn’t tell you anything he wrote other than Catcher. Sorry…
Savvy
HIGH NOON IS FINALLY HERE!!!!
dont hmmmmm me zachary phillip brailsford, ive no time for hmmmms. i dont fancy him, as an actor or as a boy, and i dont care who knows. >P
Ultra, you sure seem excited! haha!
Savvy
THANK YOU, Porco Rosso Ultra. Added to faves.
JR, you don’t know what bondage pants are?
Zachary: At least you’ve read Dostoevsky, that more than makes up for your lack of Salinger familiarity. ;)
Puff…erg… That guy has such a presence in film; he’s just so much fun to watch. He’s probably my favorite French actor I’ve had the privilege to watch. I mean, that’s not saying everything, but I do think he’s awesome.
I mean, if you don’t like him, that’s fine, but I think he’s one hell of a guy!
Haha.
Savvy
S., yeah, that’s because Dostoyevsky is COOL AS MOTHER-TRUCKING HELL!!!
Savvy
I know what they are.
That was just me doing a little eyebrow lifting.
Mang, when are they going to get Martin McDonagh and Bruges on this thinggg?!?!
YEAH, people on StL! were the first people on TA (that I know of) to take advantage of this new feature! :)
High-five everyone.
Zachary: One of these days I’ve got to get an F-Bomb outta ya. ;)
Sam, I don’t know! In Bruges was one of the best films of last year!
Savvy
hi-5 !!!!!
g’night stlrz
Rossoneri: No five for me. My Auteurs list is enough.
Samantha
I’m a Jean-Pierre Léaud fan [ :
