finally a worthwhile comment!!
Christ, everyone’s gettin’ deals but me……..
S well its only cuz blockbuster is closing downand the have good deals now ;)
Big Lots has DVDs for $3 but I don’t even have that much money…
S, I have to buy Wager films so I can finish in time!
Hollywood and Blockbuster are both headed toward oblivion
Kahlua & milk on my cereal. Thought I’d share.
& not as good as I imagined. :/
Sekzee: Ah, I didn’t know where you had gotten them. ;) Are they used or new?
Crobley: Yes that’s true, though the choices can be hit ’n miss most of the time.
Drew: That wasn’t a criticism. o_o
used :/ they used to be rental films but I checked and they all work
Blockbuster is the worst place to work possibly on the planet
Sekzee: I figured even if they were used they must be good, just curious though.
Has it been getting worse or is it just the same old crap? :\
-
Why is it the worst place to work?
S, getting worse, I am getting tired of the phony corporate formality and over exagerated business-like persona that we have to carry. Its bullshit. I work like a dog and Im not even allowed to transfer to another store because there are no positions available…
and its monotonous to the 4567th degree O_o
Sekzee: By formality and persona, do you mean in how the employees interact with each other or with customers? Sorry if that seems like an obvious question.
I’m sorry about the transfer situation. Why did you want to, if it’s not too much to ask?
S, I wanted to transfer cuz otherwise I wont have a job :/
and its how we interact with the customers and how we interact with our corporate representatives. all they care about is sales and its a terrible inconvenience since we are already having trouble closing the store and keeping everything organized…its very complicated
they keep sending us more movies and books and random shit for us to sell sell sell and we have no room left in our store o_o
the problem with blockbuster as I see it and I dont know much
but they charge too much for a rental 5 bucks or so. And they must have spent
tons on that blockbuster exclusive label but at least where I live they always set on the shelves
since the average audience doesnt want crappy indie films, miramax castoffs and foriegn films they never heard of. The blockbuster exclusive label was a terrible waste of money; that being said, I liked some of the foriegn titles and prob wouldn’t have found them otherwise.
Sekzee: Christ, it just sounds like they’re grasping for air at this point. [To be a downer……..] o_0
HDV is so great!
I dont know what HDV is
sounds like a disease
High Definition Video.
Den you have a good point. those blockbuster exclusives are not doing anything positive for sales and neither is the blockbuster online package. seriously its $20 a month, why wouldnt anyone pass up that when netflix is $8.99 a month and they can stream films on your xbox and playstation…
but Im curious which foreign films got your attention?
S, yes they are :P
Not sure Sek I think julio madem had one or two of his films on Blockb exclusive
and if I remeber correctly (not foreign but) Cassandra’s Dream was an exclusive (which really suprised me)
o was CD good? Ive always wanted to watch that
I would give it a C+.
But it was the only Woody Allen film that did not feel like a WA film
“Ive always wanted to watch that”
Same here, Cassandra’s Dream is one of the few Woody films I have not seen yet.
Apocalypse: How many do you have left?
I really liked Cassandra’s Dream. No it is not a good movie… :D
“How many do you have left?”
Whatever Works (2009)
Cassandra’s Dream (2007)
Mighty Aphrodite (1995)
What’s Up, Tiger Lily? (1966)
Think that’s all, some others I desperately need a re-watch.
Oh and The Front.
Salem u desperately need to see Mighty and The Front
the rest can wait
