just popping in to say a quick “hi” to everyone.
Hello, Allison! :)
Savvy
hi savvoir-faire
Hullo, Allison.
Hehehe… ;)
I might be making the third film in my trilogy today (hopefully), and so I’m excited for that. :)
Savvy
Gary Coleman is dead, another person I grew up watching, gone
Den, I heard. I was sorry to hear that. :/
Savvy
yeah i heard first on imdb. byebye gary coleman. wow, short life.
^ And that is how I found out about Gary Coleman’s passing. Ally’s post, heh.
Rest in peace.
I’m using a different computer and I went to sign in to this site, and lo and behold, it’s the auteurs again! I actually yelled I was so happy. Then I signed in and realized it’s still mubi here… They still haven’t changed their non-signed in home screen I guess :(
Also, RIP, to Mr. Coleman.
Think I’ll go rewatch Simon of the Desert. I’m on my way to a triple-header, film-wise, today. :)
Trois Couleurs: Bleu
Christmas in July
M. Hulot’s Holiday
There Will Be Blood
Do not despair……..yet.

Dequinix: Ryan, neither. Instead, fly me into Nashville for a Titans game.
Ha, we just had an epic flood and LP field was totally flooded
I don’t know how long it’s going to be before they get it settled. Plus, I don’t know what kind of a plane ticket $50 would get. Maybe you could ride on the back of a crop duster or something.
I’m still kind of torn between the War Trilogy and the Oshima set. On one hand, Godard is my fave director and this Oshima set supposedly contains some similarities to his work. Plus, I saw “In the Realm of the Sense” and really loved it. On the other hand, I have “The Bicycle Thief” and really really liked that one as well. Plus, I keep hearing and hearing about “Rome, Open City” and was stoked to hear the announcement of the War Trilogy set. I might have to just flip a coin on this one.
Anything with Open City, GET IT
Ally said Gary Coleman had a “short life.” How cruel.
sheesh somebody should moderate this place
I got an itch to go to the library today and picked up Au Hasard Balthazar, Trafic, and Medea, all new to me. I also got Sullivan’s Travels. Not new to me, just the best comedy ever probably.
Fast as a leopard
Trafic is quite good.
I love Tati, so I’m expecting it to rule.
Shotzi: Hope you like Balthazar. I should be getting that tomorrow myself.
Drew: That’s what she said.
Trafic is my fav Tati tho also partial to Parade
It’s a bit different from the other Hulot films, but still quite good.
I must stop saying ‘quite’ :/
Rocky: I don’t quite see what’s wrong with that.
I love Tati, so I’m expecting it to rule.
Has anyone seen Medea? It’s Von Trier. I’d actually not heard of it, but as a Von Trier fan I figured i’d give it ago. It’s from a Dreyer screenplay apparently.
Well, it does rule, so you’re safe.
S, I suppose you’re quite right.
House of Leaves
Looks like i copied/pasted that first line by accident. I’ve seen the seven clips of Cnematon, but that’s it.
