I find Bible quotes or general stuff about Jesus in FB status updates irritating – why are so many Christians so pushy about their religion?

I don’t. It’s a paradoxical relationship, you see. I drink so that I may be less miserable, drinking of course only rendering me more miserable. I hate the bottle but I drink because there’s no better solution to my problems, this “solution” only aggravating them.

I know what you mean. I’ve been in such a paradoxical relationship myself for quite some time (and I believe I’m a bit older than you heh), but I can’t say I don’t enjoy it at times. Even misery can be gratifying.
