If he had done it in the 70’s with some other similar song that everyone knew and was heard all the time it would have been one of the greatest artistic statements of the 20th century. Now it’s a little bit passe, but still pretty cool, IMO.

What did you all think of Jim Carrey’s take on Andy Kaufman, “Man on th Moon”? While I appreciate the Situationist Prankster elements of Kaufman’s career, I find the script’s arc strangely naturalistic for such an iconoclastic performer.
I could never get into the film. Still haven’t watched the whole thing. I appreciate Carey’s interest in playing Kaufman, whom I respect a great deal, but the film seems like a misfire.

Anyone who thinks singing the mighty mouse theme song is funny does not know comedy. Nonetheless Kaufman was the biggest influence on me and the reason I am not funny. Not a zed and two noughts everyone should watch that one.
