There’s a review by Frank Rich in the New York Times of the play from 1985. The production starred Melissa Leo who has gone on to great things.
Yes, Melissa Leo will be reprising her role in this new one. Drew is very lucky.

yeah, the soul of the band. he’s been in last stage cancer for some time. when they met dylan, they were known as levon and the hawks (originally ronnie hawkins’ backing band)
one more cuz i loved this man :‘(( i actually prefer this version over dylan’s own
levon also appeared in many films including coal miner’s daughter, the right stuff, three burials of melquiades estrada and of course the last waltz
He is one of my absolute favorite drummers… and that voice!

she still calls me mummy, sounds weird but it feels really normal to us, we have a very open relationship and have gone through many stages of growth together
