I am NOT gonna see this movie anymore.
You originally wanted to see a male stripper movie? You have every right to but Channing Tatum is pretty wishy washy isn’t he?
@ben.: I originally wanted to see it because Steven Soderbergh made it. I could care less about Tatum, though he shows promise on 21 Jump Street.
Holy crap, Johnsonisjohnson. We’re fucked if that thing passes.
I haven’t seen enough Soderbergh to make a consensus about him yet. I don’t like Contagion in any capacity although I really liked Che.
@ben.: Yeah, Contagion was crap.
The Cinémathèque québécoise has discovered and restored what “could well be one of the oldest examples of independent animation in Quebec”. Their website has a great written piece on the film and everything around it, but it seems it wasn’t translated. There’s a small bilingual introductory text at the beginning of the video.
Thought it might be of interest to some :
that’s pretty cool, m zom! love the colors
@Ruby Stevens: Glad you enjoyed it, finding this made my day (thank God for Facebook)!
@Odilonvert : I think this might be the first Kate Bush song I’ve ever heard, I think I need to check her out!
that’s a great album, Monsieur, I highly recommend it
and excellent film, I’m going to post it on the experimental film discussion thread! :)
kate was way ahead of her time. also, for more on cispa, see doofu’s sopa thread
Life is so weird. Why is the song Houses of the Holy on the Physical Graffiti album? One of life’s many mysteries.
You know if you microwave a bottle of red wine it causes an explosion?
No, really. 4:00 in:
Hehehe…

I posted that pic two pages ago. Would you get with it, man?!?
Ruby—Those tornado videos were astounding. I’m terrified and fascinated by tornadoes, and even though I’ve lived in Tornado Alley my entire life—and I’ve been in one before—I’ve yet to this day to see one with my own eyes.
They’re natures’ monsters. The real ones.
RIP Levon Helms
there’s half a page of levon tribute couple pages back too. <3 that guy :’(
yeah, i can understand not leaving the house, house. looks pretty stupid what they’re doing there
and i can’t recognize anothony hopkins in that photo!
@house: oh yeah, you did! that’s why I got the feeling that someone did this before…
I have nothing to post so here’s my favorite video on YouTube:
Today is William Klein’s birthday! Does anybody know where I could find some of his fashion photographs for Vogue? I’ve read that they’re great and subversive and groundbreaking, but I haven’t been able to find any of them.
There are a number on Google under William Klein Vogue. Here’s a great one of my lovely Audrey Hepburn.

@Ruby
Today on Fresh Air with Terry Gross (great show) they are doing a respective on Levon Helm featuring interviews that Levon did back in the nineties. Should be good. Find your local NPR station and enjoy.
DVDbeaver’s review of the Hollis Frampton set totally makes me cream!
Reviews makes you ejaculate? All they do is make me want to buy things.
GROSS.
Hey Ben! Long time no see! Where’ve you been?
But, yeah, that review does make me want to buy it, too. Even worse: It makes me want to pre-order it at Amazon’s current price ($28.99) instead of waiting for the b&n sale, which is just absurd!!
DAMN YOU CONSUMERISM!!!
People have ejaculated over worse things…
Ben.
New Haneke film at Cannes. How exciting.
What isn’t exciting is the wait.
