I saw The Beastie Boys twice—once at Lollapalooza 94 and once for their Ill Communication tour. Both experiences were aided by… ahem… substances… but both were incredible and I’ll never forget them.
By the way, The Avengers is a top-tier comic book movie. It’s also freaking hilarious.

@uli3cain: those are cool movies, but, personally, I don’t think Criterions from the late 90s aren’t a good investment…
Dude, it’s the supplements that I go for as much as the film itself, I know the audio transfer is less than brilliant.

I lost my copy of Suspiria :(. Ugh, and I watched The Howling Reborn last night. I wasn’t expecting good but I didn’t think it’d be that bad. And it wasn’t bad in a good, cheesy way.

Thanks, Alexandria. I actually lost copies of all my Argento’s. It’s still difficult to discuss, but I’m taking it one day at a time. I lost my Milky Way Criterion with the Argento films as well.
the worst dvd that i ever lost was my copy of possession, i sent it to netflix accidentally (lol?) and the dvd was really expensive to replace

Aside: Went to a bookstore a little while ago and noticed they had a couple copies of Ibsen’s Brand but it’s described as ‘A Version for the Stage by Geoffrey Hill’. Might consider getting it, but is this, more-or-less, a translation of the play or is there something significantly different between the two?
Am I the only one who thinks A Trip to the Moon is one of Méliès’ weakest films? I watched it a while ago and didn’t especially like it, but since Hugo I have been watching other ones and I like them so much better.
i am surprised it’s the most famous. i especially like the impossible voyage which is the one i believe they were making in hugo. and the one about the chunnel xD
