Had a weird moment not too long ago.
I’d forgotten that The Petrified Forest was on TCM this evening, but for some reason decided to tune in and watch a bit of it anyway. At one point Howards’ protagonist has his knapsack taken from him and asked what’s in it, saying, “Socks, toothbrush, underwear” and a copy of Modern Man in Search of a Soul though he’s cut off before he can say who the author is.
However, it wasn’t necessary as it’s Jung [who I’ve been on a kick with for well over a week now.] Not only have I been familiar with the title, but I actually briefly browsed a copy of it while at Barnes & Noble much earlier today…
