I’m with ya, super 8 is a bit of a hobby of mine and I’ve always wanted to shoot on that camera. The cartridges you see are for super 8, that camera shoots double 8 which is a little different. Here’s a link from someone who did what you’re talking about, good information.

Here’s another link where you can buy the stock.

You’ll then have to have it processed. This is a good place.

Good luck, would love to see the footage if you shoot it and/or transfer it digitally.

Mark Thimijan, Can I buy the Regular 8MM spool (color or black and white) from the link that you gave me, or is Double 8 the only product compatible with my type of camera?
Yes, Regular 8mm is the same as Double 8mm, also known as standard 8mm. You just want to stay away from anything super 8. That link will supply you with what you need, call the guy listed there with questions, he’s a pro and knows everything.

OKay. So I have this super 8 camera which I am pretty sure is the exact same model that shot JFK’s assassination (i.e. a Model 414 PD Bell & Howell Zoomatic Director Series Camera). I really want to buy some film for it and a proper projector but i don’t know if it is compatible with all the super 8 CARTRIDGES that i see online. Can somebody help me with this particular super 8 model?
