Ok, thanks HOS, Megg and RUS, I was just dumb.
So I’m still dumb. Can anyone out there, who has a Mac, tell me what stuff I need to download to watch something? Twodeadmagpies gave me some info a while back but I think I either got the wrong stuff or I don’t know how to access it after I download it. For instance, winrar doesn’t open for me when I click on it and I’m not sure it;s the right thing.
I realize this may be asking for a lot of work from someone but if you’ll just give me the names of the specific software and maybe point me towards a complete tutorial for dummies I’ll promise not to bother you with too many nagging questions once I start the process.

Mike—SMz is free but you’ll need a Rapidshare account to download anything. It’s quite reasonable.
A rapidshare account is more convenient, but it’s not necessary. JDownloader is very useful for those without an account.
Yes it’s free. You need Java updated. No extra applications. The link above is for MAC. What the program does is to manage the downloading process of multiple links of rapidshare or megaupload with the restrictions of free users. It would be tiresome to download them individually so the program do it for you. It’s legal depending of the content of the links.
Of course if you have a rapidshare account you don’t need JD. It’s more convenient if you download a lot.

Mike your winrar might be corrupted, remove the program and re-download. With winrar properly installed JDownloader will automatically join .rar files into an avi unless there is a password required. It is best to have a rapidshare premium account as it makes downloading rapidshare files much quicker as I understand it. If an avi does not pop up in your downloads right click on part one and choose “extract here” and winrar will do its thing… for files that come up as .001 .002. .003 you need HJSplit to join them.
Ok, so I go to a movie on surrealmoviesz, and what, move the rapidshare links to jdownloader?
all you have to do is is select all the parts and hit enter, open JDownloader and look at “linkgrabber” option, the download should be there waiting, down the bottom choose “continue with all” – click on downloader option at the top then, and hit the blue arrow buttom and it should start downloading immediately. That’s what I do anyway.
btw I don’t have a mac! I presume this is pretty much the same deal though

You should just need to extract the files. Your Mac ought to already have a player installed.
