The actress who bested her for the Oscar in that nominated year always said that if she hadn’t gotten it her vote would have gone to Tyrell. I would retort that I could never vote against Shelley Winters escaping the S.S. Poseidon, and that always began a fun bruhaha.

^^ that would be Eileen Heckert…who worked with Tyrell in ZANDY’S BRIDE a couple years later.

I forgot Shelley Winters was Oscar nominated for The Poseidon Adventure.
