I think it’s reservoir dogs

I like that one with that guy from that other movie with Jesus or something.

I think Jackie Brown is the film that shows the most maturity. It doesn’t have the Tarantino “stamp” all over it, he just tells a good story.

Kill Bill

I would have agreed with R. Citizen not long ago, but after viewing Vol. 1 & 2 back to back, I’m convinced that it’s his masterpiece. Nothing else he’s done is even remotely as fun.

@Nathan – I agree with you about the fun part. I was impressed as shit that he managed to get that performance out of Daryl Hannah.

My opinion of Tarantino’s films is constantly in flux. I used to love his films when I first started paying attention to him but how he is in real life kind of turned menoff of them for a while.

I haven’t seen My Best Friends Birthday and it looks as though everyone will probably leave that out as well.
Resevoir Dogs is written perfectly as is most of his films.
Pulp Fiction is amazing because it completely fucked the film world when it came out.
Four Rooms is ehh…
Jackie Brown has some of the best acting in a Tarantion film and the best pacing.
I think he put way too much stuff into the first part of Kill Bill, genre wise.
Kill Bill pt 2 is much one of his better films.
I couldn’t stand Death Proof let alone all of Grindhouse.
Story wise, Inglorious Bastards is, I think, his best film.

My favorite is “Pulp Fiction.” But I think his best is “Jackie Brown.” It’s an extremely watchable movie. “Four Rooms” should only be judged by his segment (which is the best of the four).

Apparently Four Rooms would have been better if it weren’t for Tarantino and those assholes at Mirimax. Every decision was left to be made by Tarantino but he usually wasn’t around so decisions were made without him then they were changed, reshot and cut to shit once the films were finished. It seemed that all the others were fooled with in order to make Tarantino’s film be the best one since it was during his most popular period.

The one with the most enlightened string of “n” and “f” bombs.

Either that or the one with Samual Jackson having the worst hair day.

I would have to say Pulp Fiction, but my answer to his #2 movie would be either Resevoir Dogs, Jackie Brown, or Kill Bill depending on when you asked me.

Inglorious Bastards is a solid film, and as for Death Proof. Well, I would rank his CSI episode higher than Death Proof.

City on Fire definitely.

1 Inglorious Basterds
2 Kill Bill 2
3 Jackie Brown
4 Pulp Fiction

Blah blah. Jackie Brown. Everyone will be saying it in ten years.

City of Fire is terrible. Death Proof is his best movie.

This question is a bit like asking whose fart smells the loveliest.

I think what I like the most of Tarantino are his innecesary and totally useless dialogues like the “Like a virgin” discussion on Reservoir Dogs or the Royale with Cheese in Pulp Fiction. They somehow make me get involved, it’s real life. For me it’s Pulp Fiction.

Deckard: I think I should see Jackie Brown again, but the first time I fell asleep at the middle of the film, but the opening scene is fantastic!

I forgot about Death Proof which I loved! The lap dance, Kurt Russell, that stunt girl Zoe something or other and the ending were all great.

Still, Jackie Brown FTW.

(Haven’t seen IB yet)

Although he didn’t direct it, I think True Romance is one of his best scripts. Especially in the original Tarantino cut with the non-linear story line.
