Those are both fantastic and I’d be hard-pressed to pick one over the other but I’ve seen Dr. Horrible three times and The Seventh Seal only once. Sometimes… I just don’t feel like reading subtitles.
I have yet to see The Seventh Seal (but it is one that I want to see).
And I have no desire to see the Seventh Seal.
I have a liking for that bloated piece of flotsom, Waterworld. So delightfully bad, it’s good. Thinking about Costner acting deathly serious and individualistic cracks me up even now.
I own Waterworld – is that worse? I also haven’t seen The Seventh Seal yet, though I own a copy a friend got for me in China for $1. I’m actually waiting for the re-issue to come out so I can buy it. It’s relatively cheap and has tons of great features.
Oh, and I love the National Treasure movies.
I’ll see you owning Waterworld and raise you owning CB4
I enjoyed every second of Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
The Towering Inferno retains a special place for me because it was the biggest film of my childhood and the night my mom and dad took me to see it will, for me, be one of the greatest nights ever.
Southland Tales… is a hell of a lot of fun to watch.
okay; i feel better now.
Hot Rod > Citizen Kane
YEAH, I SAID IT.
Dew are you tripping hahaha
I see dead people.
Assuming Mordlock meant to say Drew instead of Dew, I find it funny that the hatred for Indy 4 is so great that I was the one who got a response not all of the Seventh Seal haters or Samantha’s balsy Andy Samberg love. And what can I say it was beyond entertaining, even if there were a few unbelievable scenes. No one can say bad things about the aliens because every Indy movie had crazy stuff like that. Was it the best Indy movie? No, but it belongs with the other 3. Everything in here is confidential though so shhh I hated it. haha
I’m with Drew, but I don’t really consider it a confession because I’m not ashamed. People who like the original trilogy and hate the fourth one aren’t wanting another Indiana Jones movie, they’re wanting to see another Indiana Jones movie while they’re eight years old.
I liked it too. Temple of Doom remains my least favorite.
I kinda liked the Omen….The Remake….
i thought Transformers was a cool movie! there, i said it! it looked cool. it was pointless, but it looked cool. Optimus Prime is a badass, and Megan Fox is fuggin’ FINE
Don’t even get me started on that hag.
What did she ever do to you?
My secret: I don’t like Jean-Luc Godard’s films. I try to like them, but I just can’t. Most of the films of his I’ve seen post-Breathless simply seem to be platforms for his radical-Left views. He doesn’t focus on an interesting story or even create interesting characters. I mean, jeez, he doesn’t even subtlely try to show his Leftist views, he just bashes you over the head.
There, I’ve said my piece. Let’s never speak of this again.
troll 2.
I’ve never gotten anything out of Godard’s films. BREATHLESS, MASCULIN/FEMININ, ALPHAVILLE, WEEKEND, left me cold.
I’ve never been able to sit through GRAND ILLUSION.
Is this film confessions or just regular confessions? I’ve confessed all I can about films I like and don’t like on this forum so, I got nothing. However, if we’re talking about skeletons in the closet… well… that’s a different story entirely.
Lets here it Col.
I have only seen 3 Godard movies, and I don’t know why! I loved the three I saw but for some reason I haven’t seen any more.
I have only seen one Ozu and one Ray.
Samantha, I think you should add that you gave Gladiator four stars. Haha, I’m kidding but God I hate that movie.
i think i’m addicted to porn. does that count?
I’ll take Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey over The Seventh Seal any day.
On Wednesdays i go shopping, have buttered scones for tea. I wish i was a girlie.
Wow, I’ve seen zero Ozu, zero Ray and one Mizoguchi. I’m trying to see their films, don’t worry. I also gave Gladiator 4 stars.
Drew, you hate Gladiator but love Indy 4? I think you’ve been cramming for your finals for too long.
I haven’t seen 1941 but in my opinion Indy 4 takes the cake as Spielberg’s worst film (and solidified the question that Harrison Ford’s career has long been dead). I saw this film with about ten friends to a sold out show in the Cinerama dome and by the end of the film, people were booing and throwing popcorn at the screen. I’ve never seen such a spectacle, especially in a theater that usually has pretty well behaved audiences.
I’m still baffled that after nearly 20 years, that script was the best they could do. Truly an Ed Wood-caliber film from one the most renowned filmmakers in cinema.
Adam Cook
A thread wherein we can reveal the plethora of dark secrets we cinephiles surely have.
I’ll go first…
I prefer Dr. Horrible’s Sing-A-Long Blog to The Seventh Seal
