^ HA! This is good stuff.

I read the Roger Ebert no star review and felt it had to be done, though I have no experience with this whatsoever.

Well do more, man. And eff No Star Reviews.

After I saw 2012 I said it was “easily Roland Emmerich’s best film. 1/5.”

Isn’t that enough?

Dequinix, A little late on checking this thread but I love the Breathless you did. Damn I wish I could find it online to watch again.

@QCG I really dig that cover.

I’m not sure if anyone is taking requests but I’d love to see covers of The Magnificent Ambersons, Los Olvidados, and The Blue Angel :3

It’s been awhile since I’ve looked through the entire thread, but does anyone recall if there’s ever been a Ms. 45 cover? I’d like to print a label for a bootlegged international version DVD and figured if there was a fantastic cover on here, I wouldn’t bother punching one up myself.

Is this where I can find the MUBI fake Criterion covers?

I’m REALLY bad at this, but I didn’t see a cover for it.

Also, I think I had the wrong year; Should be 2005.

I know this has probably been asked before (and I’m not about to sift through 150+ pages looking for the answer, sorry), but what programs do you use for these?

I’m a big fan of PaintShop Pro. I’m still using 7. Real easy to get the hang of.

I was just bored and did it in Preview on my Mac, despite the fact that I own the Adobe Creative Suite, ostensibly, for work.

Did anyone make one for An Education? This was my favorite film of last year. Also which of these programs can I download for free?

Sounds_Odd…that’s dynamite!

First try, with one of my own photos and a ‘Strangelove’-ish free font:

@Sounds Odd: Is that the real Jenny?

Sounds_Odd

Yeah, that’s Lynn Barber

Here’s another 2009 Oscar botherer (i can only do minimal ones)

Nice one for UITA, Sounds_Odd! I tried something similarly ‘sky-oriented’ with one of my pics, for ‘Brick’:

…And one for Antichrist (no pic of mine this time, obviously):

Another von Trier (not a huge fan, but my photo happened to match the movie):

Great work on this page. I just might start doing these again for the Director’s World Cup.

One year ago last week it was this thread that brought me to the site.

This is my first attempt. Let me know what you think.
