I got goosebumps just thinking about a Criterion release of Suspiria.

The Blue Underground release of Suspiria looks pretty fantastic already. There isn’t a messload of extras, but with the included full length documentary on the film, it’s still better than some Criterion releases.

I made a couple Suspiria covers too, but honestly, when I think about it… if it weren’t for the look of it all and the soundtrack by Goblin, that film would be MST3K riffable. It’s embarrassing.

And Marq, Brandon has an I’m Not There cover on page ten. I think it’s pretty great, even if I’m Not There is another film I can’t seem to get behind…

Kudos for the Birth one! I hope Criterion picks that up someday; it definitely deserves the treatment.

PLEASE someone give WRISTCUTTERS: A Love Story a better cover than the one that exists!!!

There’s some damn fine work going on around here lately. I’m glad so many talented people are participating in this thread, and really making it the best of it’s kind out there. Seriously, we best the “Fake Criterion Cover” threads over at Criterionforum.org or rottentomatoes by a long shot.

Unfortunately, I’m in the process of moving right now, so my participation on this website will be limited at best over the next month or so, but hopefully I’ll find the time to make/post some more covers of my own later this week.

Keep up the good work, Auteurs.

@Samantha – But what movie isn’t, just take away the acting and MST3K could rip any movie. The thing that is impressive about Suspiria is the fact that there is no decent acting to be seen, but it has one hell of an atmosphere which is something most movies lack. And that atmosphere carries the whole movie.

Sean…That Tenant cover nails a very hard to nail down movie! Good work!

SG, use Photobucket or TinyPic, or something that will produce a direct link for your picture. I use Photobucket. Once my image is in an album, I mouse over the image, which produces a set of URLs in various formats. Copy the one labeled “direct link” and paste it here, then add one exclamation point at the beginning and another at the end, WITH NO SPACES. Hope this helps . . .

Nicely done, SG!

A wanted it to say “A film by Christopher Nolan” at the bottom but couldn’t find that same handwriting font that the title is in. More to come.

As one who can not do this, I am consistently blown away by the covers here. “Superbad” was genius and “The Conversation” fits the movie perfectly.

LOVE the Rope. That could actually be used for the cover if The Rope ever gets the criterion treatment.
