I just need something I can log into and edit/update whenever I want. I’ve hosted all the images elsewhere. Just need an ad-free space for the pages. What’s the web lingo for this? I need my own domain? Is that right? I haven’t done this in so long. If you could create one for me, that’d be perfect. I’ve been naming everything “fauxcrits” but you could call it something else if you like.
I hope no one just lost faith in me. What I’ve got so far is lookin’ more than decent, imo. Don’t fret!

I just want to say that the first Dr. Strangelove cover is one of the most inspired covers I’ve seen, and it perfectly captures the film. Great job.

Rare, Hard to Find movies…great idea for a challenge….

with all due respect to Last Year at Marienbad & Hiroshima, Mon Amour…this is my favorite Resnais film…

A lost Art House Classic from the 80’s
I’ve been away this weekend but just noticed that someone brought up the Woody Allen commentary track for “Crimes and Misdemeanors.” Once upon a time I owned that laserdisc; in fact, I might still have it somewhere but it’s probably at my dad’s house. Seeing as it’s one of my favorite films I’m eager to revisit it. Assuming I can track down the LD I might even be able to record the commentary to an audio track for whoever is interested, but probably not for at least a few weeks.
(And yes, I’m one of the rare few who still owns a laserdisc player.)
You guys are freaking me out. Josh, that image for Pulp Fiction is insane! Some hardcore videogame exploitation version of the movie or something…
Wow these covers are amazing! Keep them cominPr
There are some great ones on this page.
Mike L.: Is that a painting?
Jasparr: You’re always finding movies I need to see.
Garth: Excellent Little Children. Love how the blue Criterion branding pops.
Jacob: “yet another in a long series of diversions in an attempt to avoid responsibility.” Nice.

Thanks Jacob, I don’t know if you created that Real Genius cover because you saw my request a few pages back, or if you just dig the movie, either way it’s great to see it. I’ve since realized I do have a program that allows me to make these fake covers so look for my own RG cover in the near future.
“I quote the immortal words of Socrates, who said, I drank what.”
REJECTED! Way to go, David. I was going to make a Don Hertzfeldt Criterion cover last weekend but got distracted with my Ferris Bueller instead. I can totally see Don’s shorts making it into the Criterion collection someday (with any luck).
REJECTED…brilliant on so many levels!
This cover makes this movie look like fun…it’s not…

Little Children is brilliant. The cover that is
Jasparr: It’s not fun in what way? In like an Irreversible way, or an English Patient way?
In a Fassbinder (I could never tell my parents I saw this movie) type of way
Oh man, I would give my right foot for Criterion to release Little Children. Very nice cover indeed!
@Garth – Hm, I don’t like Little Children but I definitely like your cover.
I really liked both of Garth’s recents and Josh Ryan’s

Nice covers for Trainspotting, Taxi Driver, and Halloween →Jason Callen
That first 2001: A Space Odyssey cover is nice Josh.
Finally King Kong!
Does anybody have any interest in doing a cover for The Ninth Configuration? Just a thought.
I already think the current dvd box art for The Ninth Configuration is excellent.

Of course they would use actual calligraphy for the text but oh well

House of Leaves
And I’m glad you lol’d. That one is my personal favorite. I lol’d, too.
