Axolotls (and Axolotl cake, nom)
Wasn’t one of them a rock star?

(Duck-billed) Platypus
kenji, that armidillo looks delicious.

Red Panda
Wanna split it?
Axolotl Rose

I just want to post pictures of CUTE animals. Is that okay?
Not the ugly ones:
Just kidding. I think it’s cute too.
Where’d you two find these?
Mr. Winkle:
I have his calendar.
The glass frog is neat:

Japanese Cranes

Cthulhu
![]()
African clawed frog. I can picture it in a big derby hat and a suit, sneaking up on some poor Joe Schmuck in a hard-boiled frog movie. Menacing-lookin’ devil, ain’t he?
A Pacific Barreleye fish with a transparent head:

Australian Weedy Sea Dragon (it’s pregnant)

I was going to post cranes, but I was beat to it.
Ah i was intending a weedy seadragon, and /or seahorse (below). Those crane shots are marvellous. Mizoguchi was a master of the crane shot. Good to see an aye-aye getting some love. They tend to give the finger. The hippo pic is adorable.

Saiga

Wow, Samantha I really like the glass frog..
>>Cthulhu<,
Has someone left the way open AGAIN!?
Oh, the one i did of a tiger worked and then didn’t. Try another:

Dolphin fish aka mahi mahi

Narwhal whales

An Afghan hound and its clone Snuppy
This is the best thread this board has ever seen, except for the frog pictures. I could do without the puffins, too, really, but they are kind of cute, just annoying.
I forgot how to post pictures.
Posting pictures is very easy. Just put ! and the url and another ! immediately after the url with no space. Image files (jpg or jng or some other format?) need to be around 600 pxls to fit.
Another marvelous creature:

I was just coincidentally thinking about Wales and puffins, there are a lot on Skomer island and i love them. Manx Shearwaters are another speciality of Pembrokeshire, and live in burrows. This morning, a grey wet day on the riverbank here, there were 5 tiny grey cygnets. Narwhals are extraordinary, and great to see the dolphinfish.

Green sea turtle. They come to Ogi-ike fan-shaped beach at Minami-jima island in the Pacific where the treasure’s still buried.

I was reading recently how at a zoo in Beijing Chinese visitors were fascinated by the humble hedgehog that we in Britain take for granted.

The Red Kite, symbol of Powys, almost wiped out in Britain, saved in a few small patches of mid-Wales, now doing very well again.

I started this on another thread but thought it would make a good subject for the latest off-topic gallery here
Some magnificent creatures:
Football Fish (A.C.Milan supporter?)
Blue Ringed Octopus
Armadillo (“dreaming dreams of Armadillo”)
Manatee (called Huw).
