i remember it happening before. i find his presence makes for lively debates and discussions on this website.
Again? And I thought the mubi team had meanwhile understood that’s not the way to handle the situation.
Dimitris had been under control for a while, but Polaris’s game got him back to directly insulting like 2-3 people per page.
What can one do? It seems this whole (hi)story has come to a stall, a dead end.
How does someone get muzzled on here? Do they ban them?
@Jirin: That’s one of the reasons I tried talking him out of posting on that thread. Even I got frustated about the nature of that game, so I stopped posting on there.
He did call people out, but it seemed to me like more in good fun than anything else. i think he just wanted to instigate discussion and debate, albeit somewhat aggressively. and he has been quite calm for a few postings. he hasn’t gone any further than other users i’ve seen. why is he the one to talk the fall yet again?
That’s all i’m wondering…

The problem is Dmitris is known for this behavior. I personally don’t care, but when he gets to being a bit of an aggressive asshole, whether instigated or not, he goes full out and does not know how to stop. I dig Dim when he is being respectful and pushing film and conversation.
That being said, I would rather have Dim then Santino. I still have yet to see one worthwhile or funny post from him. If you can’t succeed at being a troll, perhaps you should rethink your style.
Usually it has been a temporary thing and it took a few weeks or months for users to be allowed back, though as Cat states this time it’s supposed to be permanent. Hopefully mubi will reverse this decision which I think is definitely a wrong one.

I have to say that if I were one of those kinds of people who is looking to generate notoriety, I don’t see Dimitris that way just conjecturing here, having a thread all to myself more than once, generated by others (not like RUS generating them about himself by himself), is a pretty good way to do it.

I don’t think that’s a very positive comment….I know I’m new around here but I don’t get the slightest impression of Santino being a troll….I like his posts.
i’ve lurked on the site for years and i haven’t noticed anything wrong with Santino either.

it seems he’s been silenced again. just curious if any mods could explain exactly why? i’ve tried pm’ing some people but havent really gotten any responses, and my internet connection is bad.
I remember him being silenced before, but this time i’m not sure exactly what prompted it. just curious as he is an avid poster on this site and one of the many users that i pay strict attention to.
