I actually really hated this film.
They made us watch it at school, I think it suffers from naïveté and dullness at some parts. And the whole approach is very deja vu to me.
But I don’t know, maybe it’s really good, I’m curious to know about other’s opinions, and I totally respect yours. It’s a heart-warming, tender and extremely enjoyable film, but I have allergies to those adjectives. And it’s highly personal haha.
I have seen Toto le Heros and loved it though.
This is a rare film about mentally disabled people. Their world views are that simple, naive without calculation. This makes us sound-minded people think how they do not regard themselves as abandoned children by the god who created them on the eighth day, while we were troubled by our dull jobs, broken families and insincere friendships.
if this film be in the library.i will put it on the first of my list

Anyone impressed by his film Le huitième jour (Eng. The Eighth Day)? This is a under-appreciated film. It deserves more attention.
