Anyway.
Andarilho (Drifter) by Cao Guimarães, 2007.

Well, i would love to see Andarilho, but as i haven’t, then:

Gummo
My Winnipeg
Gummo is late nineties, though.
I vote Stellet licht.
It’s supposed to be only ONE film everybody.
I’m with Kenji: Mulholland Drive, with “Brokeback Mountain” being the runner-up
Oldboy
I’d also consider;
City of God, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Memento, The Twilight Samurai, No Country For Old Men, There Will Be Blood, Pan’s Labyrinth, Children of Men, Wall-E, The Wrestler.
That’s what I can think of right now anyways.
THERE WILL BE BLOOD!
RUNNERS UP: THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS and BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN
Yall have all picked great movies BUT what ONE film from this era would you consider putting in your top ten list of all time
Mayor – while I like Gladiator, it wouldn’t even make my top 25.

Yeah Gladiator, im riding the fence, to me it represents what Hollywood can do, and has been doing for decades, the best. Sand and sword epics!
I dont even own it but i feel like it could be one of the best of 2000s at least in a top ten
Chistopher, theres not ONE movie from this era you could consider in your top ten or maybe even top 15
Lost in Translation
There Will Be Blood
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Mayor – sorry bud – my faves mostly consist of older stuff. The Lives of Others is another one from this era I really like a lot – but it would still only fall somewhere between 30-50 on my list.
Hey I’m with Christopher, not one movie I’ve seen from this decade comes close to my top 20.
I’m with Nathy and Eddie: There Will Be Blood has my vote as well.
I was all about the “this decade” sucks bit and nothing in my top 20 or so. Then I saw Werckmeister Harmonies, There Will Be Blood and Synecdoche, New York.
Good decade.
The Proposition.
Yikes! Some terrible taste up in this!
I’m going with The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada.
Forgot to include SYNECDOCHE, NEW YORK
Kaufman’s best screenplay so far and destined to gain a better reputation with time!
My Top 5:
Snow Falling on Cedars (Scott Hicks, in theaters in 2000 in France)
Virgin Stripped bare by her bachelors (Hong Sang-soo)
Ghost in the Shell: Innocence (Mamoru Oshii)
Waking Life (Richard Linklater)
Paprika (Satoshi Kon)
Speed Racer
Any of these could be mine depending on what day it is.
(alphabetical)
Amelie
City of God
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Infernal Affairs
Oldboy
The Royal Tenenbaums
The Squid and the Whale
Unranked (except for There Will Be Blood, the only film from this decade that would rank in the top 50 films of all time, in my opinion)
-There Will Be Blood
-Oldboy
-The Lord of the Rings (Trilogy)
-Memento
-Sideways
-In the Mood For Love
-Children of Men
-Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
I’m not there.
1. Werckmeister Harmonies
2. Mulholland Drive
3. There Will Be Blood
4. City of God
5. Goodbye Dragon Inn
6. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
7. The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou
8. The Edge of Heaven
9. Three Monkeys
This is tough…I feel like I might be missing so many.
The Mayor Of Hell
What is the ONE film from the Double Aughts that could go down as one of THE greatest of all time
I’ll just throw one out and say my choice would be City Of God outta Brazil. but im partial to gangsters and violence so….
Just ONE now dont cheat.
