Wait… is this really not a joke??
Well, now that Bertolucci has recently shot in 3D, he’s a convert?
My eyes already hurt at the prospect of a four hour 3D movie. Tickets should come with Advil.
So I guess the conversion treatment for Last Tango in Paris should be coming in 2013?
Before the Revolution 50th Anniversary in IMAX-2014
I wish I could say I was joking (sigh)…not my favorite Bertolucci film and despite the brilliant cinematography, I can’t imagine what compelling reason he’d have for converting this. I can’t imagine that this will make the film any better or more enjoyable.
I am perfectly fine without seeing Maria Schneider’s breasts (as lovely as they are) in atrociously excessive 3D.
I don’t mind the fact of re-releasing films in theaters…so long as they’re not molested with 3D…and if “The Last Emperor” were coming to theaters without it, I’d definitely go see it just for the feel of it.
But fucking hell, 3D? Really, Bernardo? Gah!!
Bernardo actually decided against shooting in 3D for his new film not long before production started. It’s shooting till December. Is there any link for Last Emperor coming out in 3D?
This is my favourite Bertolucci film of the..two that I’ve seen. Still, an amazing film, and I really don’t know what to think, sooo I’ll probably see it.

stupid idea…stupid idea…stupid idea…and I’ll add that it’s a stupid idea.
