Yeah, I heard about this a couple days ago and smiled. If there’s one thing that will always be true about Gilliam, it’s that he’s one persistent son of a bitch, and I love that he changed the Sancho-esque character from a time traveling ad executive to a filmmaker who falls under the spell of Quixote. Though, to be honest, I’d love it even more if the character were simply Sancho Panza, and this was a straight up adaptation, rather than this meta-time travel project he’s had in mind.

Agree, I would like to see Cervantes adapted more closely, but this is Gilliam, and the man has more than earned the benefit of the doubt.

Now I need to hurry up and watch Lost in la Mancha.

This is super bitchin’. Though I am scared that Gilliam will resort to CGI again…

I’m glad he’s having another crack at it, it’s obviously a project close to his heart and his previous attempt must be one of the unluckiest film-shoots in history!
