Future generations view the list? I doubt many will be poring over every page and stage of it- the final result may have some interest, but decades ahead? The future generations are more likely to be astonished adults could be so childish, or that apparently sane people would carry on participating alongside such tomfoolery. I’m tempted to join the kindergarten “nah nah ya boo shucks to you” club.

And i see Yakult’s intending to vote it down without seeing it. Oh dear. Boudu is a character and film to cherish.

Question: Does anyone know if The Trial with 6 points is the Orson Welles film?

I have seen 9 of the top 20. 6 of those I would consider great films, the other 3 are good at least. I’ll be seeing The Sound of the Mountain next week.

^Sound of the Mountain is a pretty strong film . I’m surprised that Floating Clouds isn’t the Naruse entry, though.

I’m actually planning on a Naruse blitz next week w/ Hulu Plus. I’m stoked!
