If he’s that revolutionary he should let people see the film.
I don’t see any trace of the word ‘revolution’ here. I see the visual adaptation of House music to cinema. Great.
It’s frustrating how there is almost no information on this film ANYWHERE, but may be that is a good thing…that it is not being “hyped.”
It certainly is very Noé-esque.
Does anyone know when the release of this film is other than film award ceremonys?

There’s probably not a U.S. distributor lined up yet, but I’m guessing it should fall into place some time after it opens in the major European territories (probably around the Holidays)
IFC bought the rights to it back in January but I heard that it won’t get a theater release in the US until September. I was going to wait it out for the theater version but I’m not waiting that long, it’ll be available to download after the DVD release in April.
Robley I believe you are correct on the date of its’ release, however I believe I read that it would be available on IFC on demand in September.
Hopefully it wont get a all cut off by the league of decency…
what an eyesore
As superficial as Noé often is, I love the look of this. It’s unapologetically repugnant, gaudy and frenetic. Kudos to him also for using LFO’s Freak… I always felt it should have a visual that matched its sound, and its music video never quite grabbed me.
Yay. Gasper Noe has a new film coming out. Great lets hope it pisses lots of people off and people start talking about it. Yeah. I for one can’t wait for Gasper to take me through the mill like he did with I Stand Alone and Irreversible, he really goes for the jugular, you want visceral, Gaspers the man, I like to see Gasper Noe in 3D. Actually no I take that back. That would be a little to visceral.

Looks incredible to me. I’ve watched it and the trailer several times. I’m not holding my breath for it coming to theaters here though.
I hear the closing credits are going to be EEEEEEPIC.
Oh my. It looks like porn shot by Christopher Doyle after he’d watched that Massive Attack video. Ok. Ok. It looks incredible. I wonder how much fuss it will stir in the press in the UK. I would find it funny if it just went unnoticed, no furore, no cuts, ok, this guy is an artist, free pass, but that’s bound not to happen. Gasper is like Kubrick meets GG Allin and from that one can predict one thing, controversy. Gaspers out to rattle cages. Lets hope he does.
this comes on out May 5th?
I live in NYC and I thought it was comming out in September
I live in colombia and i doubt this movie will ever make it here. Does anyone where or how I could watch it?
Rudy: The theatrical release in France was on May 5th, the theatrical release in the US is in September. It will be playing in IFC theaters and on IFC’s television channel. Luckily for you, there’s an IFC theater in NYC! So you will be one of the lucky ones…
Alejandra: Not possible, but once it airs in September it will be available on the internet the following day (for illegal downloading, to be clear).
God I can’t wait to finally be able to see this, It’s been the movie I’ve been interested in the most this whole year.
So I was in Penn Station, NYC a train hub that I find myself constantly in, due to the fact that I do not have a drivers license nor do I know how to drive, yes I know I SUCK. However I picked up Filmmaker Magazine, and nestled in the magazine is s great interview with the one and only Gaspar Noe, the questions where posed to Noe by another great director Ramin Bahrani, the man behind one of my most beloved movies of recent times, Chop Shop(filmed in my backyard Flushing!) He Talks about casting unknowns, working with Paz Da La Vega, using super 16mm,watching Expermential films,he mentions one called T,O,U,C,H,I,N,G. He also mentions POV and how when he saw Strange Day’s directed by Kat Bigelow he was like AHHHH, someone did before me but it works, let me add blinks! He mentions one of my favorite films The Funeral directed by Abel Ferrara and how the brothers(vincent gallo and chris penn and chris walken) dont really look alike but are alike. He mentions the dreamlike quality of Daivd Lynch’s Mulholland Drive and the the camera work of De Palma in Snake Eyes. Also in the magazine is an interview with Todd Solodnz about Life During Wartime which I believe was conducted by Ramin but not sure. oh and Noe mentions this Barbara Hershey movie about dreams, but I forgot it…..Also the magazine had this great article about this new book detailing the history of one of the greatest studios’ of all time Cinecitta.
P.S Noe also mentions that Wild Bunch is the one and I believe it too one of the best companies dealing with real great films and filmmakers, and how a lot of the movie relied on computer effects in post production by the same people behind the cool effects in Fight Club, BUF.

Nick you da’ man! nut not for nuttin’ I did a good summary, right?
FINALLY! This movie is playing on the big screen at the end of October where I live. I’ve been waiting all year long for this…can’t wait!
The opening credits are no doubt the best part of the whole film/visual experience beside the white light scenes. Looks amazing on a wide screen.
there are no ending credits…
but the opening ones… blew me away! I could’ve got up from the theatre not watching the rest of the movie and claim that ‘’Enter the Void’’ is truly something revolutionary!
The best bit starts at 3:30.
Movies i’m going to see in the next to weeks at the cinema…
