@Polaris Are you asking me if I have seen kung fu movies? Yes, I have seen a few in the past. But, I think the difference with this one is that I believe that the filmmaker wants you to take the story seriously and seeing how the story pans out and the development of the characters, I just thought it didn’t seem very well thought out but hung on cliches and was poorly designed, meaning such things as how the characters speak I just couldn’t believe.
I found some of this film confusing, poorly edited and too reliant on odd narration
It was very much like Dragon Ball Z, quickness in place of actual energy
also tho many of the actors are game and very good (particularly Crowe) Rza has no screen presence whatsoever. And for his Django, Man With No Name type role, one needs charisma. When he is onscreen I find myself noticing all the background
Rza has no screen presence whatsoever.
Agreed. I also didn’t like the guys who played Silver Lion and Ex-Bland. Both were bland to me, although Ex-Blade’s suit was pretty cool.
Joks
the thing is, a lot of the ineptness in the classic.kung fu films wasnt intended, so trying to recreate it is a waste.of.time.imo.
