A pathetic comment. I am friends with Falderal in real life and he is a respectful, intelligent and humble person who I’ve never known to stoop to personal attacks in order to make a point. But please, go back to insulting us all and posting your own poetry (yes, it only took a quick Google search) to make a point which we have all been well aware of for years.
not to me he ain’t and it goes back over a year, he’s taken opposing views of mine just to be contrary. what kind of user changes his name that often, one that likes to cause problems and hide behind a new name, he’s a hipster to the nth, and if you’re friends in “real life,” well, that doesn’t say much about your character, or maybe he’s the kind of guy that likes to act like he’s something on the Internet, but shrinks in the “real world.” That’s probably it.

Now that is article is 8 years old, but our actual freedom of choice has gotten less since as we buy more and more media from fewer companies every year.
That content providers were not to own distribution and presentation facilities was put into law in the fourties. Studios were not to own theaters. Under Reagan that was abolished.
Meanwhile, we ignore that a stupid international agreement has extended copyright law include the author’s life plus 90 years. Never mind that little material is really under the author’s control, unless they have the clout to push for self ownership. Since this is retroactive, the corporations that own the vast majority of all media all of sudden have material that had been public domain back under their control. (A French company now claims ownership of Hitchcock’s early films.)
Unless we actually fight Big Content in some way we deserve what we get.
For the record, I’ve never once taken a position on here, or anywhere else, that I don’t actually believe in. Though Uli has entered into conversations he had no part in merely to attack me (and if you want the threads I’ll link to them), followed my posts (apparently) to do so and refused to stop after directly confronted. You know both of these names you hate (Wu Yong, Falderal) mean “meaningless” or “nonsense?” It literally makes me laugh when you guys take me so seriously when I defeat your arguments, given that the names I’ve been choosing are specifically self-depricating to let you guys know to not take my posts so seriously (especially if you don’t like me).
And the reason I feel comfortable changing names is because people that know me, know me by my real name.
And Falderal only changed t o this from Wu because a friend jokingly made a remark with falderal in it and he decided he really liked it. I don’t think he’s using it to hide since his profile is the same and others still openly refer to him as Wu in forums.

I think it’s both ignorance and laziness, it can be easier to just go along and work and pay your bills and take what is given you. What does fighting back get you? What really does education get you?
