Krzysztof Komeda wrote the scores for Roman Polański’s Two Men and a Wardrobe, Knife in the Water, Cul-de-sac, Rosemary’s Baby, and The Fearless Vampire Killers.
The whole soundtrack album is available..
Yeah, I’ve been listening to a lot of him lately.
I don’t want to spoil any of his other scores until I watch the films, but I downloaded the Rosemary’s Baby soundtrack right after I watched it.
Yeah this soundtrack is awesome. Really glad to have found the LP at a flea market for a dollar!
Fantomas, by the way, has a fantastic cover of this theme, which includes the line “What have you done to his eyes?” as part of the lyrics.
Anybody ever listened to the “Director’s Cut” album by Fantomas? Humorous, rocking, and genius all at the same time. The Godfather is particularly great, because when it starts out everyone who has not previously heard that version of it goes, “Oh yeah, Godfather, I love this song!” a-and then the weird noizy bits start and they are all like, “WTF, mate?” Wonderful experience, every time it happens.
