Godard films.
I try my hardest not to see bad movies, but it happens and …
The Sweetest Thing
Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle
Visitor Q
Miss March
Death to Smoochy
American Psycho (and an even worse book)
Bully
Austin Powers in Goldmember
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Killing Me Softly
As much as I love me some Dakota Fanning, I think even she would agree The Cat in the Hat was pure drivel…..
movies with acclaim that i think are awful:
Charlie Wilson’s War
Ghost Dog
Haywire
Martha Marcy May Marlene
Silent House
Slumdog Millionaire
This Film is Not Yet Rated
Vicky Cristina Barcelona
Visitor Q
Winter’s Bone
the absolute worst movies i can think of:
Dragonball Evolution
Dragon Wars
Good Luck Chuck
My Bloody Valentine
Midnight Meat Train
The Runaways
Rush Hour 3
RV
Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon
White Chicks
hi-five on Visitor Q, Uli
Haywire
Fight Club
Shawshank Redemption
Across the Universe
Irene in Time
Rachel Getting Married

Crash
Some people don’t seem to know what means ‘’21st century’’… Jeezz…
I’ll say : Glitter, From Justin to Kelly, all movies with Paris Hilton, Gigli, Epic Movie, Transformers, Rollerball, Step Up (huh… what number again? 3, 4, 5? ;-) Son of the mask (what a waste…) and so much remakes…
Holly, good picks.
I’d go ahead and say anything with Michael Bay or Adam Sandler’s name (except he has a couple exceptions, where Bay has none).
Gotta say ditto on the abovementioned films: The Sweetest Thing; Austin Powers in Goldmember; The Cat in the Hat; Slumdog Millionaire (but less because it’s actually one of the worst films of the new century, and more because it was so frickin’ acclaimed when it came out, I don’t get it); Good Luck Chuck; Rush Hour 3; RV; Transformers (all of them); White Chicks; Glitter; From Justin to Kelly; Gigli; Epic Movie (and really, all those cookie-cutter spoof Movies, like Vampires Suck and Scary Movie 49 and so on…); Crash
As for my own list, I’d have to include the following (which is made up of mostly well-known movies that I just don’t think deserve the attention and certainly not the box office receipts that they receive):
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (Steven Spielberg)
The Matrix Reloaded/Revolutions (The Wachowski Brothers, or is it Wachowski Brother and Sister now?)
The Passion of the Christ (Mel Gibson)
Planet of the Apes (Tim Burton)
Signs (M. Night Shyamalan)
Troy (Wolfgang Petersen)
Avatar (James Cameron)
Sex and the City movies
The Twilight Saga movies
Everything involving Tyler Perry
The Twilight Saga
The Transformers Trilogy
Vampires Suck
Disaster Movie
Captain America
Green Lantern
Spy Kids 3D
Spy Kids 4D
Jack And Jill
Grown Ups
Annoyed at the reaction to some modern Tim Burton films. Was ‘Charlie And The Chocolate Factory’ actually bad? I liked it. But maybe that’s just me.
Crap films that have been critically acclaimed, in rough order of shitness:
Everything made by M. Night Shyamalan
Lilya 4-Ever
Ip Man
Once Upon a Time in Anatolia
Love Exposure
Waking Life
Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives
Punch-Drunk Love
V for Vendetta
A Beautiful Mind
The Hurt Locker
Slumdog Millionaire

John Q
Catwoman
Taxi
Daredevil
Gigli
Honey
Kangaroo Jack
Without a Paddle

A Sound of Thunder
The Lake House
The Wicker Man (2006)
I Know Who Killed Me
Thomarama and Alex : I agree with both of you. And you’re right Steve with Adam Sadler’s movies… they were better before 2000’s :-) Sex and the City 2, pwaaah! And so sad that the last Indiana Jones did’nt deliver what ’’we’’ expected (a little 21st century tragedy!) and Twilight Saga, of course… good pick for the worst movies.
Correction Doublelife91 : Avatar and The Last Airbender aren’t the same movie, they are two different films. ;-)
Transformers 2
Transformers: Dark of the Moon
Epic Movie
Disaster Movie
Garfield
Son of the Mask
Marley and Me

Peter, 11 times wrong
Even in threads about the worst movies, people still want to turn it into an overrated thread. Not to mention ignoring the date guidelines of the OP. You people are obsessed.
CHICAGO
MIDNIGHT IN PARIS
INCEPTION
MAMMA MIA
HUGO
SHUTTER ISLAND
BLACK SWAN
The STAR WARS prequels released since 2000
THE ROOM

THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON
MULHOLLAND DR.
I’m sure I’ll think of more after I click Post Reply
@ULI³CAIN
Pi and Requiem for a Dream are both very nearly brilliant. The Wrestler and The Black Swan are more than competent films that resonated with a large audience. The Fountain is fucking awful. New Age drivel peppered with shitty CGI and propelled by a grievously miscast Hugh Jackman. Let us agree to differ on this one. OK?
