What is your favorite “There are 2 kinds of people in the world…” quote? Film or otherwise.
Off the top of my head, the only film reference I can think of is What About Bob? “There are two kinds of people in this world. Those who like Neil Diamond, and those who don’t. My ex-wife loves him” :)
Those with shovels and those with guns. =D
Those who need closure, and
Those with a rope around the neck, and the people who have the job of doing the cutting.
There are two kinds of people: some willing to work and the rest willing to let them.
There are two kinds of Americans: those who want this country for themselves and those who want it for everyone.
There are only two kinds of scholars; those who love ideas and those who hate them.
There are 2 kinds of people, those who believe there are two kinds of people, and those who know better.
actually…there are 3 kinds of people
in on this. i randomly love this phrase. says so little but so much.
Yo, I been nice but you rather put your hat in your sleeve,
And break arms like Seagal, don’t wear your heart on your sleeve. There’s two things in life; fact and belief
Yea, and you best to believe, it’s a fact I just rolled the leaf.
Those who make films, and those who collect films.
I think Jack Nicholson said that in The Departed… if so, that’s my favorite.
Of course, Good Bad and Ugly had some great ones.
@ Loverofcinema: What line are you referring to in The Departed?
There’s the one staying put in his proper place, and the other with his foot in the other one’s face
Oops, I was a wee off. Here’s the exact thing:
“When you decide to be something, you can be it. That’s what they don’t tell you in the church. When I was your age they would say we can become cops, or criminals. Today, what I’m saying to you is this: when you’re facing a loaded gun, what’s the difference? "
Kind of accurate. I love that movie
^^^Haha, I like The Departed too. Seems like it gets especially picked on because of Scorcese’s previous Oscar snubs. Oh well
It’s my third or fourth favorite Scorsese. Just as good as his other films, some people are just upset because of this:
they think it got the Oscars because Scorsese is an old ass man, when truth is it really did deserve some of those accolades and prizes (Babel was fantastic, though, and deserved Best Picture IMO).
There are two kinds of men who never amount to much: those who cannot do what they are told and those who can do nothing else.
There are two kinds of people in this world. Those who say they are two kinds of people in this world and those who have to listen to the first people.
There are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don’t.
Those who understand Hitler, and those who doesn’t.
From True Romance:
There are two kinds of people in the world: those who like The Beatles and those who like Elvis.
Those who love Keaton and those who love Chaplin.
those who talk a lot about doing things and those who do things that generate a lot of talk
@ CInematic Cteve: Beatles/Elvis is from Pulp Fiction. Though I certainly see how you could remember Elvis from TR :)
Here’s the whole scene (particularly starting at about 1:05)…
Those with guns and those who dig
I think all of the good ones are in The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.
There are two kinds of spurs. Those that come in through the door, and those that come in through the window.
There are two kinds of people, Beatles fans and Elvis fans.
Those who like Seinfeld and those who like Friends
Not from any movie, but I’ve noticed it seems to be true.
The modern version of that might be those who like Community/The Office and those who like Big Bang Theory/How I Met Your Mother
Those who think Hollywood is great, and those who have brains.
are you a beatle or a rolling stone?
