…
The new one for Blow Out doesn’t quite sell me on it.
…
Thanks for putting those up here.
I’ve made a couple more since there were so many hits already
Genius! Keep em coming! Those last two are perfect! Where do you get the footage for these videos?
From the DVDs, then fix em up in Final Cut Pro
This one I’m not so happy with.
It’s a difficult film to deal with
let alone edit together a minute of its essence.
I enjoyed this one alot though, I’ve never heard of the movie but this really made me want to see it. good work!
this is a good one. I saw Kes about a month ago and I think this video captures the films mood and style pretty good.
Three Reasons: Perfect Blue from For Criterion Consideration on Vimeo.
another great video Robert
Three Reasons: Bound from Ray the Squirrel on Vimeo.
Three I am working on:
The Trial (Orson Welles, 1962)
A Page of Madness (Teinosuke Kinugasa, 1926)
By Brakhage: An Anthology: Volumes 1 and 2 (Stan Brakhage)
Anybody know the proper Criterion Font?
the trial sounds like an interesting video.
Crash was one of your best Robert
the red shoes video is quite enticing
I’ll post the red desert video when it gets on youtube, it’s my favorite one so far!
awesome! I love criterion titles so much!
You guys need to get some Murnau though.
fantastic La Notte! I wish I could make these.
I’m not so sure about the La Notte cover art at the end of that video. Great video though.
…
I wish Criterion would make 3 Reasons for all their titles.
well they’re gonna do one a week now, so there is a chance they could get through every film. I feel that one a week is a bit slow, maybe 2 a week? Would that really be so hard I mean the CURRENT section of they’re website is almost completely stagnant during the weekend, post one on the weekend and one during the week.
They should start paying me to do ’em. I could do one every other day.
Can one of you guys PLLLLEEEEAAASSSSEEE do one for la strada.
I showed your red shoes trailer to my girl, and she watched it instantly and it become her favorite film.
I know if you did that for la strada, it would convince her to watch that too.
you guys ROCK!

I really want to see one for The Life Aquatic. Not sure why that specific title, maybe cause I think the music and images in the film would be cool to fool around with. Would also like to see one for Exterminating angel.
i think there is a legal obstruction with La Notte. Criterion have been trying to release it for years.
