Anyone know the font that is used in these videos?
@Jeff, Criterion uses Gotham Bold for almost everything they do. From their video to covers.
@ Robert Nishimura
Thanks a lot. Great video too BTW.
Excellent work, Robert.
I don’t do videos but I do written posts inspired by the Criterion videos. Bear in mind that these are personal favourite films, I don’t necessarily think they’re the greatest films ever made.
Hopefully, I’ll be able to post more soon
An 80s baby can dream, can’t he…
^What movie is that? Is it called 1982? Cause I can’t find anything on it… your video convinced me!
The Last American Virgin
This one took a while for me to finish.
The titles were done using the Animation Desk app available for the iPad. I had wanted to use it to do something that was a tribute to Brakhage, and the idea for the Three Reasons video came to mind.
Oh, wow. Excellent work, Raysquirrel! It’s great!
Huge fan of all your guys videos. Thought I would give it a try.
good work Raysquirrel and Lucas!
was there a 3 reasons for Videodrome?
searching…..
edit – No 3 reasons video!
I made a Three Reasons video for Brick a few months ago. Rian Johnson actually saw/liked it, and I haven’t had a happier day since. Just found this thread, and I thought I’d share it with you guys. Let me know what you think!
Great work Mitch!
And Ray, that Brakhage piece is just perfect.
Shit hell Robert. Excellent work. Thanks again.
Miasma, is that “Shit. Hell. Robert.” Or “Shit, hell, Robert.” Or “Shit-hell, Robert.” The punctuation does, after all, make a difference.
Actually my full name is Shit Hell Robert, so the punctuation is fine as it stands.
^That’s right, Z. Bart, I was just using his full name. Because unlike some people, I believe in respect.
If you’d like to get technical, the comma comes after hell. Shit hell was the first utterance out of my mouth after yet another noice (if extended) vid from S.H.R. Yay.
Ben.
^ They had problems finding elements for release. As stated on Criterion Forum.
