Going but going as press. Might want to check Darren Hughes’ useful blog here if you have questions: http://1stthursday.blogspot.com/
Oh how I miss the days of living in that wonderful city and what better way to end the summer than the film festival. It’s been a few years since I was there and I can’t wait to get back. This year looks like it might be a little boring, but there’s a few that I would like to see. Peter Tscherkassky’s short COMING ATTRACTIONS looks really interesting and I would love to see Jørgen Leth’s EROTIC MAN. THE ILLUSIONIST looks great too. Canada seems to be well represented this year for better or worse. Our contributions to the film world are pretty sad to say the least. One thing that would make this years TIFF better would be a streetcar running over John Cameron Mitchell.
I don’t know about you, but this looks like the greatest line up of films I’ve ever seen at the TIFF. I’m gonna try to see at least 8-10 of them if I can! Look on the TIFF website – the complete list was posted as of yesterday!

Who’s going to the Toronto International Film Festival this year? I really want to go, but I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to make it. For those of you going: what kind of ticket packages are you getting? where are you staying? for how many days?
I’m just wondering what the plans of others are. Maybe I can benefit from someone’s brilliant idea i.e. “I’m going Tuesday through Friday; those are the cheapest nights at the Holiday Inn”.
I hope I’m not creating a thread that already exits. The purpose of this topic is basically to discuss TIFF 2010 plans.
