Todd’s gone back to the original James M. Cain novel — which is rather different from the Joan Crawford classic in many respects, outside of the central Mother/Daughter conflict.

This should be a great miniseries

Jane Campion has also moved to tv with her next project.

HBO has been on their a-game recently. This might not be Eastbound and Down, but it will do.

Ha – cool! Guy Pearce can do anything. I frankly don’t know how they’re going to drag to that out from 5-10 hours, but anything’s possible.

For the record, I have been critical of HBO before but I really quite like In Treatment…

I loathe Kate Winslet with a vengeance,
but luckily Evan Rachel Wood is there to save the day.

I will have to see the original with Joan Crawford before I see this..I am not a huge Winslet fan but hopefully see will win me over with her thespian powers….if anything I know maestro Todd Haynes will win me over with his direction and visual style. Also Guy Pearce is one of my favorite actors.
