Totally. Oh man “Companeros” is one of the more underrated spaghetti westerns ever. Tomas Milian does a good pseudo Che Guevara in it plus it’s got Franco Nero and a crazy Jack Palance. Good film.
do somebody know his poliziotteschi?
and his later comedy-poliziotteschi?
poliziotteschi are italian movies about police and crime (from the 70s), low budget but great success,
some are good action movies
he was really one of the main characters in this scene
He’s brilliant in Visconti’s episode of “Boccacio ’70” — “The Job.”
Liked him in Ferrara’s underrated Cat Chaser.
I’ve been a fan of his work for many years. As Mark stated above he was terrific in Corbucci’s “Companeros”, but he did many other Italian westerns; some of the more intriguing ones are: Face to Face, Run Man, Run (both by Sollima), Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse directed and written by Lucio Fulci, Sometimes Life is Hard,Right Providence?(He plays a Charlie Chaplain clone in this one). He’s had a very diverse acting career and somewhere along the line I lost track of him. I was pleasantly surprised when he unexpectedly turned up in Steven Soderberghs’ Traffic and was really a standout even surrounded by some excellent talent.
I need to check out Boccacio ’70.
There’s a photo book of him out there that comes with a CD that features songs from his many films. It’s just too bad they didn’t include the one song that he actually recorded that was featured when the credits rolled at the end of LA VITTIMA DESIGNATA which was a movie he did with another fav. actor of mine named Pierre Clémenti.
Sonny and Jed is great, and he has a minor role in James Gray’s The Yards.
Rome Armed To The Teeth is great,as he plays a hunchback homicidal maniac.
His Role in Fulci’s giallo is great not to mention the above mentioned movies.
I wanna check out Cat Chaser

Anyone a fan of Tomas Milian’s work as an actor?
I am. Lately I’ve been acquiring some of films and I can say that Beatrice Cenci (lucio Fulci), The Big Gundown (Sergio Sollima), Django kill….if you live shoot!, Identification of a woman (Michelangelo Antonioni), LA VITTIMA DESIGNATA (LOVED his singing at the end when the credits appeared), syndicate sadists, and Almost Human.
