That’s a broad definition of slashers, but if everything on your list counts, my list would be pretty much the same.
Psycho and Peeping Tom are Slashers. I don’t see how you can make a good argument against that. Psycho was the first slasher of the genre..

John Carpenter spawned the slasher genre, so really the only slasher film I feel has merit is Halloween.
‘Black Christmas’ the original. it predates Halloween. love it.
I don’t believe that psycho or peeping Tom would be considered slasher films
But Halloween is an obviouse choice
