I have raved about “The Stunt People” on this forum previously. The are a troupe of martial artists/independent filmmakers based in San Fransisco. They began working in 2001 making shorts that they posted online (this 2001-2003 period they refer to as “The Graveyard” due to the very shoddy production values compared to even their current standards). Since then they have grown from a hand-full of people to a large troupe working on independent feature productions domestically and one international production.
I think these guys deserve to be spoken in the same breath Buster Keaton and Jackie Chan. I have written at length about how I think their first feature length film Contour is “THE BEST ACTION MOVIE TO EVER BE MADE INSIDE THE UNITED STATES”, though so far nobody in this forum agrees.
Going through their website I found their first feature that they produced for an MTV independent film competition. Though the film lost because it received TOO MANY VOTES? The film is called Undercut, it is Fast, very Funny and you can watch it online for FREE:
