Wes Anderson's new french film

Jeffrey Berman

Has anyone heard the rumors that Wes Anderson is interested in re-making My Best Friend? I heard that during the two year production of The Fantastic Mr. Fox, Wes stayed in Paris most of the time researching for his new film. I also heard that his crew was very upset that most of his directing was done over the phone. Any truths to these statements?

You put My Best Fiend in the about section. The Herzog on Kinski film.
Wes Anderson’s films are decent. I don’t think they’re too much special. I enjoyed Rushmore very much the first time I saw it, but it didn’t stand up to much on a second viewing.

The headline of this thread threw me off My Best Fiend – Klaus Kinski (1999) was a Herzog film.
