Um …
Why aren’t these films allowed to be shown in Austria?
According to a rotten movie I once viewed, all those little von Trapp’s Glockenspiel-yodeled all those nasty dictators out.
It’s not just Austria, it seems to be a Europe-wide thing. I’m UK and have resigned myself to using the forum and keeping a catalogue of films I’d like to see. Shame really.
It’s not the dictators ( haven’t one yet ) Christopher but BUSINESS i think ( you could argue Business beeing a dictator ).

Translation – Euro oppression sucks, release the Criterions to all
creepy
“My fellow Austrians, I shall not be seeing you again perhaps for a very long time. I would like to sing for you now… a love song. I know you share this love. I pray that you will never let it die.”
In the UK too there are a lot here unavailable but sometimes- as with Dry Summer a couple of days ago- there’s one to see for free
Canadians have the same problem on this site. Thankfully the Criterion festivals are open to us, but very few of the other films :(

i just found out about this great project today and instantly signed in but what a disappointment : nearly all the movies aren’t allowed to be watched in Vienna/ Austria…very annoying!
Has anyone an idea on how i could make use of this amazing library???
Hopefully one day in the future it will be possible for Austrians to see all the movies on this site.
