When I read the title, Robert Blake came straight into my mind. Seeing his face in “Lost Highway” can’t fail, I get shivers all the time.

I could also say Malcolm McDowell.

Steve Buscemi & Ethan Hawke – their mangled, foul teeth creep me out everytime.

For slimebag effect: Eric Roberts & Mickey Rourke

Also, Terence Stamp via The Collector and Dylan Baker via Happiness. I don’t think I have been able to view them onscreen without seeing them as such.

willem defoe plays creepy characters, but he seems like a really nice guy, so i wouldn’t think of him as creepy

David Ehrenstein

Dafoe is exceptionally nice in person. And in “Light Sleeper” he very deftly palys a character who began as a creep then changed.

I fell madly in love with Terence Stamp when I saw “The Collector” back in 1965 and I’ve never gotten over it.

Steve Buscemi looks ungainly but he’s incredibly simpatico as is obvious from his spectacular debut in “Parting Glances.”

Tom Cruise is a total creep

I have tons of respect for Buscemi. Dafoe is also very sympathetic in Platoon, although Stone said something about deliberately casting the more All-American-looking guy (Tom Berenger) as the evil one and the odder-looking one as the good guy, to frustrate stereotypes. Light Sleeper is a good, often overlooked Schrader movie — I remember Dafoe’s quirk about always having the money facing the same way.

Dafoe is also great as one of the vocal performers on Lou Reed’s The Raven. As is Buscemi. To come full circle, lol.

Is it just me or am I the only one to find Anne Hathaway kind of creepy looking?

Noel mentioned Jack Elam, who I love, but it brought back vague memories of his character in “Cannonball Run” trying to inject Farrah Fawcett with his syringe.
