Yesterday, I saw La Rupture and Repulsion. It was funny to see a still of Repulsion on the front page of Criterion website. It’s the third film of Stephane Audran I’ve seen so far, and I must say that I’m in love with her. Repulsion was confusing to be honest, and it was an interesting film after all but nothing remarkable. I might watch The Tender Trap before going to bed tonight.

Erik: I watched the entire disc 2 of the criterion Bottle Rocket and was floored by the original 1992 short…it was incredible in it’s own right…if you catch that I’d like to know what you thought

Berjuan: it’s pretty straight ahead and fast moving so far ( about half way through ) and Richard jenkins is insanely good in such a quiet and unassuming role…he’s usually such a loudmouth in everything ive seen him in :D

I’ll give a proper review on my profile once I’m finished though

X-ine, the director Lee Chang-dong is wonderful. His Peppermint Candy is amazing. I have a hunch Team Korea is saving that one for the knockout round…

Just saw As Tears Go By by Wong Kar-Wai. I could see the seeds of something great but it’s no Chunking Express.

Last night: Abel Ferrara, The Funeral. “Don’t fuck with the devil.” And, “I don’t think any of you are broken enough to believe in God.” Two great scenes in a gangster film that is like no other. A masterpiece.

Later today, “New Rose Hotel”. Tomorrow, “Snake Eyes”. Ferrara is a constant. His work reminds me that this is how it should be done.

Jude Law is going about proving that he is a horrible actor.

Penn is doing his normal good job.
