In college, Halloween started last night. I watched Gespenster, A Serious Man, Fearless Vampire Killers, and Sorority Row. I don’t know what’s on the schedule for today. Hopefully I’ll watch something. Right now I’m watching The Office, Season 6 on Netflix
Tonight, Santa Sangre (by Alejandro Jodorowsky, 1989).
@Pinho vou ver o Rapture também :)
Starting up in a few minutes… the line-up:
The Monster Squad (1987)
The Night of the Hunter (1955)
Kwaidan (1964)
The Thing (1982)
Deep Red (1975)
The Exorcist (1973)
Hausu (1977)
Halloween (1978)
Thanks to TURNER S for inspiring me to start with The Monster Squad. Too hungover for anything serious at the moment.
@ Bruno, great film but terrible rip, sorry
Theater of Blood (1973)
A Shakespearean actor takes poetic revenge on the critics who denied him recognition.
^^nice one Robert!!! That movie is good for a laugh or two.
I forgot to watch a horror this time. oh well. halloween isn’t really a big deal in aus ;-)
Creepshow
so far Ernest Scared Stupid (a tradition), Splice, Tingler and later I Sell the Dead (then a short party to go to)
tonight I’m watching Dont Look Now and A Bucket of Blood
Oh shoot! Don’t Look Now! What a good idea! :D
Savvy
District 9 for the first time.
The Shining, like most years. And Eyes Wide Shut for Christmas.
Just watched Hellraiser
My car, lot of punks out in the neighborhood.
i was at a local movie house place thing’s midnight-to-noon marathon until around 7 am, when i wandered out to find breakfast because i didn’t feel like watching the fulci movie from start to finish, and i realized how ridiculous i felt sitting in a dunkin donuts in a kurt cobain costume. so i forgot to go back and finish what i’d started. still, “house” kicked it off and jesus christ — i don’t think you can really properly review that movie in words. language has yet to innovate itself to that level.
jesus fucking christ….. House was nuts!!!!!! LOVED IT!!!!!
I watched Mad Love this afternoon.
If you’re not aware, it’s one of the 5 most influential movies ever made.
sensationalalien – The only word that you can really use to describe House is “spastic”. I have never seen anything so gleefully out of control in my life.
my best summary of my thoughts thus far: “it’s amazing to me that even in 1977, japan was progressive enough to be able to support a production carried out by what i can only guess was an entire crew of mentally ill people”
The pitch meeting for House-
“Well, it’s basically a cross between bananas and getting high as shit and then filming whatever the fuck comes to us.”
Ended up watching D9, Wolf Creek, I know who killed me, Splice. It was a fun night with quite a few disgusting moments. Next year will be an all-classics Halloween.
Oh man house was so fucking funny. I loved it! I had a big goofy smile slapped on my face the whole time watching it! So beautiful so imaginative, just all around a great film. I also watched Dawn of the Dead again, videodrome, and oddly enough the social network in theatres today.
HHHHOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUSSSEEEEEEEE
{ lightning }
{ cat meows }
fucking hell right on Erik… big goofy smile leavened by brief moments of the Japanese spirits of youth, innocence, time, the seasons, and love.
13 Tzameti, Giallo, and AMC’s The Walking Dead.
…going to sleep early, I have to get up at eight tomorrow. In fact, I should be asleep now… going to watch an episode of The Twilight Zone first.
Right now I’m watching Slither, and that works perfectly. Easily one of the best horror comedies of recent years.
“He looks like something that fell off my dick in the war!”
“tonight I’m watching Dont Look Now and A Bucket of Blood”
Wow, that’s…. that’s actually an inspired double feature!

^ Yea I had a blast. I also squeezed in AMC’s The Walking Dead. Best Halloween Ive had in years!
I ended up watching this film on Netflix Instant:
Snuff 2008 (deeply disturbing documentary. warning to viewer-this is serious shit, with real murders.)
However, I do recommend it if you can handle it.

Arrebato (Iván Zulueta, 1980) aka Rapture
